Objective
BioBalance International LTD approached me in search of help to develop a convincing business proposal. These were aimed at selected clients in the pharmaceutical and beauty industries, to sell a bio/eco product with a wide range of applications.
Challenges
The business proposal was not just such but had to include a catalog of four different categories of products. The message in each proposal needed to be adapted to the type of product that was promoted.
Furthermore, the proposals and relative catalogs were to be translated in German from the original English, and the content adapted to the new language.
The text was provided by the client, but the imagery, impagination, color palette, and overall design was to be chosen according to the type of product and intended audience of each. The brand identity of the client was not fully developed, and that meant more freedom of choice on one side, but more details to establish on another.
Process
I went through a large set of available images to develop a business proposal that was personalized to the category of products that was highlighted, but retained a common tone and mood. The company requesting the business proposals and catalogs wanted a strong connection with nature, as the products were 100% of natural origin.
I developed first a set of colors that would convey a friendly nature, exclusivity, and advanced technology in the pharmaceutical and beauty fields. Many colors were luxurious greens and blues, with golden embroideries and skyscrapers, representing the modern technology.
I took care of selecting the right photographs that would accompany the product.

Typography, logos, print guidelines, and the binding style for the printed version of the catalogs, were developed over many iterations, in close collaboration with the client. Adapting the content to the final design was a key step in making it work.
Content framing for both the digital and printed versions was attentively ideated to provide a readable and sophisticated end product that would work in both types of media.
Final Design
Ready to print files were delivered to the client to start handing out business proposals. For future expansion in other markets, the client requested the inclusion of PSD templates to later adapt to other languages.
